Still cant believe what I saw while scouting some public ground here in NC. I'll let the camera say the rest!

Nature is amazing.......sometimes good, sometimes not so much. It's the circle of life. Thanks for showing us.
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

That's something you don't see everyday. Good day to be a bear.

Cool video.  Thanks for sharing it.

Very cool! You don't see that every day!

Very cool!  I sent some PBS buddies to my elk spot last fall and they got to see and video a dispute between a wolf and a black bear sow and cub over a fresh elk kill.

What an incredible thing to witness firsthand!
I read an article a number of years ago in Pennsylvania Game News magazine.  The game commission and Penn State University cooperated in a research study where they placed radio collars on a number of newborn fawns.  The study showed a larger percentage of fawn mortality was due to bear predation than from coyotes.  I think even the researchers were surprised by the findings.

Incredible!  What are the odds you'd happen to be there at that time with your camera ready?

I read once that does have 2 fawns each year: one for the deer population and one to feed the predators.  Sounds all perfectly ordered until I realize that I have 2 kids, too.

bears are incredible fawn predators. They'll sweep an area like a bird dog until they flush one and then it's quickly over
