Well my name is finally coming up for a Javaman Elkheart build, within the next few weeks! I got to shoot one and meet Gregg in kazoo this last January. It's gonna be a 52incher! I'll post pics, whenever it gets finished, it's gonna be pretty sweet!

Very interested to your review about the 52". I have 3 56" and I am sure to be able to tame a shorter one.

What's your draw length? I only draw 26, need to find out what's is the longest draw length the 52 can handle, because I know some of my friends are going to want to try it out.

GB,  I shoot a "Browning Nomad Stalker 1" I bought early in 74.  It's 52 inches and it is marked  45# at 28". I draw towards 29" and the scale reads 46#.  It's quiet and consistent.  Bein' shorter it goes thru woods and Laurel pretty slick. Funny, the nocked arrow is a bigger pain than the bow. I think you'll be happy.

I love my 52" Elkheart, it's a power house and I believe that I'm taking full advantage of the limbs power stroke at my 27.5" draw.

Being such a short bow, how does it shoot for you at longer distances? Is it forgiving?

Don't go too short!!

I own four Javaman bows and my shortest (56") is an Elkheart Double Carbon TD.  The bow shoots lights-out, but I know for sure it is less forgiving for me than my 64" Falcon XL's that I shoot the most.  Some of this may be because it is my heaviest bow, poundage wise, or perhaps because I shoot the others more??  This is all with a 30" draw, so results may vary for you.  I always try to keep into perspective, is an inch on either end really going to make a difference when in a tree or blind??  If you can't answer with a definitive YES, go with a longer bow.  My two-cents anyways.....

Best of luck, Gregg is a great guy and true craftsman!!

Mark, I only draw 26, so I'm sure I'll be ok, because I have such a short draw. Thanks
