2018 KY Elk Hunt Drawing

Random Drawing -- results posted by May 15 at midnight at fw.ky.gov

Biggest Herd & Hunt east of the Rockies -- 700 general permits + 10 youth-only permits

6 of the Top 10 State Record Bulls were harvested in the past 3 years!

Over 4 Million Acres in elk zone with numerous public lands to hunt

***Am hopeful some of the Trad Gang family are fortunate enough to be drawn

I've been applying for years my dad grew up in Bell county in the restoration zone and I will never give up because my oldest brother drew two years in a row as a non resident so you really never know.

I drew a cow tag a few years ago and was in bulls everyday! haha I had plenty of chances, just couldn't get it done as a rookie stickbow hunter, I'm hoping I get to redeem myself someday soon!

This post depresses me!! 😰
I have entered the drawing every year for my Son and I. When my grandson got big enough I included him as well. Two years ago they got drawn and harvested two Bulls about 20 minutes from my house.
This year I simply forgot. My wife and I was eating breakfast the next morning after the deadline and we realized it was two late! Good luck to everyone as your odds are slightly better!!!

This was the first year I put in, went for both Archery options. Fingers crossed!!

Been putting in since the beginning and drew a cow tag a few years ago, but I keep on trying and yes got into bulls as well like Brad said could have shot a couple of nice bulls easily, cows on the other hand were quite difficult to get within bow range on, but a heck of an adventure and met some great people, learned alot and ready to do it again.

Grandson drawn twice. Got a cow first and a 300+ 6x7 last September. My other grandson and I are still hopeful. Should know tomorrow evening.

I think I read where this was the 20th anniversary for the elk draw and if that is correct then this is the 20th time I've been told sorry not this year try again

Didn't make this round.

Will put in again next year as I look forward to the anticipation and the prospect of a wonderful hunt.

Certainly am hopeful that some members of our tradgang family are gifted the coveted opportunity this season.

Only 2 people from NC got drawn this year. Unfortunately I wasn't one of them.
