i need to buy some more shafts and i have been using the axis 3rd generation n-fused shafts but upon looking for more shafts to buy i see 5mm axis shafts.

are these the same as my old 3rd gen arrows? does the 5mm superceed them?

I have been using Easton Traditional Axis 600's because my bow is 56" 38# @ 28" Pika.  But I draw to about 28 3/4" so I've been using a 600 cut to 30 1/4" with 125 gr. On the front end. They work out fine. I also have used the old generation of axis. I have a bunch of 500s, but they were too stiff for my bow. Some are at 31 inches, and Some are at 29 a half.  Axis is a good arrow.  Real good penetration.

If they use X nocks they are the same. The newer skinnier shafts use different components. I believe the 5mm are the same as the old but am not sure but do know that if they use the standard X nocks and inserts they are the same.

Bill, go to Easton web site, says these shafts use the X nock.
Never measure the mountain until you have reached the top, then you will see how low it is.

I contacted easton and they said that they are the same product.

Must be one of those new age marketing things. Rebadge an old product and people think it's new.

Me, I just want the same old product year after year.
