I JUST BE QUIET NOW...
Not me  :wavey:

So is that your maximum effective distance? Two feet?

That's gotta be rough on bows.  I would practice out to at least four feet, so the arrow at least leaves the string.

And he made the wife/grandma shoot at the refrigerator - nice guy Roy!

I refurbished my Dad's drawknife, I picked it up in rusty condition out of his shop after his funeral.

Here is the before and after picture. I have a few more coats of tru-oil to put on the handles.

Roy from Pa

Very nice, Eric.

Sorry to hear about Dad.

I put a coat of shellac on the Bocote bow today, I have to say it really brought the grain out. Which brought up a question in my noggin, can Shellac be used as the only finish or does it need something over it?

Skeater who?

Roy from Pa

Eric Krewson

It is OK until you get it out in the weather, shellac isn't waterproof and will turn white when it gets wet.

skeaterbait

Thank you guys, I will plan to spray some layers on it.
Skeater who?

Pat B

Shellac makes a good base for other finishes on tropical wood that adversely affect some finishes.
