Hey Roy, can you hook me up with some Osage next time I am up in Pa.??  I'd like about 4-6 logs, 24- 26" in length for accents and risers... I got my own saw... It would make it worth the drive to come out that way to see yah...   :)   How wide do the logs run?? Or we can do an even trade for some Sheoak...

Don't jinx me...  We may need a third...  LOL...

Roy from Pa

Shredd, ya have any idea what your order would cost? Big $$$$$...

No one in their right mind would give away 4 - 6 Osage logs...  :)

Just got the Husqvarna saw oiled, greased, and fueled up. Be heading out in an hour to get that Osage tree down and recover the stuck bar and chain. LOL

Never again do I go without a backup saw...

Good clean strait grained osage is like gold even in osage country I pass on 90% of the trees  at least around here to many spiral crooked grain , Roy how is it over in PA ?

I got tired of fighting with my current drum sander to make a decent lam and ordered a Jet 10-20. Now I am going to stare at my checking account and cry.

Shop cleaning and putting up day, no bow building, maybe a little flintlock building.

These things grab you like a good selfbow build;

wedges and an ax to pound them in will often get a saw out, if you are deep enough into the cut to give you space to do that.
but that will teach ya for running a little girlie husky- real men run a STIHL and drive Ford!!!!

kennym

Yeah, real men run a Stihl  and push a Ford!!   :laughing:

All my saws are stihl except a couple antique homelites. But don't discount the huskies...or the chevies.
