I am finally working on my shooter today...  I bought a boat winch a while back to use on my shooter...  I feel a pretty damn silly putting this Big Honking winch on my shooter just to pull back 40 to 60 lbs...  Does anyone have any other ideas and pics of other methods of pulling the string back??

If you are referring to a tiller tree I just have a rope and a pulley lower on the tree and pull by hand. I've used it on up to 95# bows.

I made mine to be able to pull a rope by hand. A winch is too slow.

Mike... Do you have pics of your method??
