Can you guys help me out on a problem I am having with TB epoxy. I started last night putting the finish on a new longbow. The first couple of very light coats were looking good. After that it went all down hill.
The last coat that I put on turned into a white frosty coating. The temp outside (sprayed in the garage)was about 70 deg and humidity fairly low for central Ohio.
I used less than 1/3 by volume thinner and seemed to spray out of the gun well.
Any Ideas?

Did you spray all satin?

It looks satin, but clearer, if you use gloss for all the base coats and satin for the finish coats.

I never had one look white, but when I sprayed all satin, yes, it would look a little frosted.

What about spraying too heavy of a coat the last couple of coats?

It was suggested by thunderbird that I use flat because it dries quicker and easier to spray. I can however, wet sand and take some of it out. Should I remove all of the epoxy and start from scratch?

If you use satin, you can spray all coats with it without it looking milky but if you use flat for all  then as it builds depth it starts to look like skim milk.  In my experience.  Chad

You have to wait and not put the coats on too close together also or it will milk up on you.

Sounds to me like it was not mixed completely and flattening agent was not blended through on first coats. On the final you had to much of flattening agent left in can. How long ago did you buy this.
