Today I inherited a large planer I think it's a Delta.  At least it says so on the motor.  It's a floor model with infeed and outfeed rollers.  It's a 220 power supply.

Will this monster have any useful application to bow building?  It's really more than I can deal with in the garage but I couldn't say no to a tool!

If I have to sell it what might it be worth?

I'd keep it, wire it in, and fire it up. My planer is probably a piece of crap compared to that one.

I use my planer often in bow making.

You should be able to get a feel for its value by doing an online search for the brand and model.

I use mine to square up riser blocks and limb cores before ripping down to dimensions. I crammed a 20 inch planer into my garage, but I also build furniture.

It's worth about a hundred bucks, I'll be out in say .... 11 hours to get it.

Seriously, that is a pretty good sized rig. I wouldn't want to buy it new(or prob used)

Anyway I got no room for one so I will do without.

I'll try to get it to where it can be photographed.  Don't know the model etcetera but I'll figure it out.

Sounds like a heavy duty one using 220. We have a couple bid ones at our woodshop. I am trying to make a TD riser from Bingham plans. I used ours to make sure the wood pieces were perfectly flat before glue up.

Here's a couple pics and the ID plate.  I thought it would be useful in making lams but maybe not.  Maybe convert it to $$ and get a thickness sander.

Thanks, Roy.... I think.

It's big for my garage and driveway shop.  The wife is already giving me and the machine the evil eye.

If she perceives the machine as worth a 100 bucks, she'll take the machine!
