I've been using Fullerplast for about 20 yrs and learned today that it was discontinued. I've got about 1/3 of a gal of finish left but no catalyst. Anybody have any that they would consider selling?

Also, what are you guys using for finishes. I need something that sets up pretty fast as I spray outside and don't want to have to sand too many bugs out of the finish?

Dale, I answered your question on the LW, but I see you added to it here about spraying outside. I have sprayed both F-plast and T-bird outside, and then immediately moved them into a dust free, bug free room and hung them to dry. Virtually no bugs or dust particles in either.

Conditions are different here now that I moved, so I have to figure something else out.

Jeff, that's what I used to do, spray it and then put it inside away from dust and bugs. How long before Tbird is set up enough that stuff doesn't stick to it?

I don't know for sure, longer than Fullerplast, between a half hour and an hour I'd guess? Moving it like we do, and hanging it in a 'still room' with no bugs or dust particles moving around seems to be the ticket. I rarely have even a single dust particle in the finish. As a preventative measure I also wet the floor in the garage where I'm spraying so the air from the gun doesn't kick up any dust.

I don't know if we're allowed to insert website links here, but I posted a link in your thread on the LW for tbirdarchery (dotcom). They give a lot of details on their "how to apply" page.

Dale depending on humidity and Tempature and how thick you coat Thunderbird will be set for things not to stick to it in a 15 minutes to an hour. Lots of variables.

We will be at ETAR again if your there come by and talk and ask all the questions you have
