mini compass from 3Rivers

Has anyone installed these little compasses into a riser ?
I'm curious if I should completely encase it in epoxy or epoxy-seal the riser, and inlay area, then apply a small dab of epoxy to the compass to allow replacement if needed. Thanks

Put it in after sealing and finish.Do a dry run fit before hand.
