Used spar varnish for full gloss finish. Will get pics tomorrow after it hardens a little.  That way I I can string it up and get full draw pics as well.

Planted berumuda around pond to stop soil from washing in and keeping it cloudy since we dug it last year.

Bushhogged roads and edges of field and rifle range.

Finished (nearly) building a JohnnyHouse for quail ...need to fit install the waterer and feeder systems, install quail funnel/predator guard, put in flooring and hardware cloth..and put on roof once out in field....and then paint/stain it for weather protection.

Got some new douglas fir raw shafts in mail...they are my next project.

I finally got around to making a hot box so I can finally glue up the lambs and glass I got from KennyM before he stopped selling and then started selling again.

Kenny, what wood do you make the sleds with?

I'm seeing potential in your forward handle project.

Kenny you get that forward handle done and you still don't like it. ship it out here to Ohio. I will give it a go. Lol put a more recurve style grip on it and I will see if it will shoot through one of our big Ohio whitetails come sept. lol.

Bvas

Worked on this sexy little thing  :)  Better get my rear in gear. Kenny is processing orders toooo fast. Got my parts and no form to put them on.

Mike, I make the sleds from aboo, since it is laminated, I have little probs with warpage. I do keep the sleds laying flat on a shelf.

Also keep them around 1/4" thick so the pressure rollers can press them done in case one does bow or twist a little. Lams come out great off them.

The forward handle looks lots better laying there than strung up. I guess it is the nature of the beast but I don't like the braced profile, full draw is fine and unstrung is too. LOL

Billy, I think it would run an arrow right on thru one if it shoots as hard as the last one. (I guess I didn't get any pics of it put up....)

Brad, I can't stand having work hanging over me!!

Have you tried putting a shorter riser in the forward handle?
I think a shorter riser would help with the "coat hanger" look at brace.
