2017, What did you do today?

First I celebrated my anniversary and took the wifey out. Then I began another glue up.

All under the watchful eye of the quality control dog, every shop must have one.

Got it all fastened down..

gonna wet sand a bow tomorrow, then hand polish it till it is super glossy..I got a new Bass guitar today, its got 4 strings but does not shoot arrows very well..

I got out and did a 3d shoot this morning. The temperature stayed at about freezing and it was damp, but a day in the woods with friends can't be beat!

I went to an auction today and got this truckload of wood for only $15.  Most of it is white oak.  It's very smooth, not rough cut.  I got a handful of osage boards and one walnut.

That's a ridiculous haul for $15 .... heck I would have been happy for $150 ....

Great buy, heck Roy will give ya $20 for that 2nd osage from the bottom!!    

I glued up a prototype bow today....

Roy would have probably bought the poplar boards and tried to make a self bow out of them.

nice Scrub Buster!  I wet sanded a bow before lunch, started buffing it after lunch.. We took a 25 mile ride out to the Ocala National Forest and watched a Delta 4 rocket launch from Cape Kennedy..we were 70 miles away but it was after sun set and no clouds,  we saw it pretty well..

Finished prepping parts and did a dry run on Clay's bow. Everything looks good. So hopefully my and his schedule allow glue up one night this week.
