I'm totally new to building bows so its been a learning process getting to a finished bow. Spent a lot of time searching and reading on here. I built a takedown recurve and looking back I should've started with a one piece.

My first question is one of my limbs is narrower than the other by about a 1/8th inch total thanks to going by binghams instructions about removing limb twist. It's tillered properly. Will this have any effect on the bow?

Second, Is there a trick to getting the limb and riser holes exact. I wasn't impressed with the binghams jig.

Thanks for any advise you can give me.

I've been working on a td lb riser. Just need time to finish it up. I'm a machinist by trade so I just drew is out on the computer printed it off and drilled then bored the holes on a mill. No big deal. Actually the limbs fit up tighter on my riser than they did on the factory riser. Drill jigs can be accurate but a drill will wander. Best bet for getting your locations dead on is to bore them.
