Got myself a new T/D drilling jig the Dowel It 2500. Works pretty slick compared to the Bingham jig and runs around 65-70$. It's a self centering jig so you just tighten it down and drill your holes. It has drill guides included for 1/4, 5/16 and 3/8. For the threaded insert hole I just drill with the 3/8 then pull the jig off and run my 27/64 bit to depth and then tap it.

I'm sure some guys are using it already but I figured I'd pass along the good find to help some of yall save time trying to line up limbs and riser.

Google it "Dowel It 2500"

Cory just don't drop it and don't ask how I know    :knothead:

I just bought the self-centering drill jig from Jim at OMC. It is built strong and heavy! I've only used it a half dozen times or so, but so far I am impressed. It has been very easy to work with, and the holes have lined up perfectly so far (knock on wood). Leaps and bounds better than the Bingham's jig. And the time and frustration saved so far, has been worth the investment. And it's built specifically for bow making. No having to chase a hole with the correct size drill.

I also purchased a drilling jig from OMC Bowyer it works perfect. I can drill the pin and limb bolt holes with out moving the jig. It will drill 3/8 or 5/16 holes in the limbs so you can use guide pin inserts. All the mistakes on bows I have made in the past I could of purchased three jigs.

Man I hate "auto correct" I meant to say "drilling"

I just never could get the self centering jig to work all that good.
