First a thanks to all that contribute to the bowyer's bench. I've learned a great deal between the threads here and the bowyer's bibles. This has been a longer journey than I expected. I purchased my first stave 5 plus years ago. Grandkids - work - church and marriage have the first priority so I didn't put a draw knife to the stave for 3 years and now 2 years later I completed the process. The stave had a large knot in one end so my initial attempt ended up in the 35# range so I spiked it to 60" and added two courses of sinew after several failed attempts and re-sinewing the back it held.

The specs are 60" 46@28 and it shoots well....I have a number of staves that should be seasoned by now in my furnace room ....hoping to shorten the window from start to finish...

Sorry the pics are kinda washed out for some reason...
