Mine is so dusty the kids have taken to making mountains and hot wheel tracks through the piles of dust.

I gave a bamboo tri lam to a co worker who wants to get into trad archery.
He shot a wheel bow for the first time a while ago and has been asking questions about shooting longbows, so I offered to give him one.

Started hauling water to one of my tucked away food plots today. Had the wettest spring in a LONG time this year. Now it's so dang hot and dry my plots are burning up! Gonna be a lot of trips with this 250 gallon tank but there isn't any way to get a bigger truck or trailer to this plot.
A buddy is loaning me a 2000 gallon tank to put on my trailer to do my other plot that I can get to with it this weekend. Gotta try!  Come On Rain!!!

Got the first two coats of finish sprayed on the limbs of my first takedown recurve, I will bring it by the local archery shop get a final weight on it and put the last coat of finish on it.

Also got a dozen arrows stained, and painted. Gonna do a marbled cresting on them once everything dries and I get time.

Here is a previous batch I made up, not really sure what color fletching to do on them yet... Maybe chartreuse and blue??? What do you all think?

Nice looking arrows.

Finished the two side quivers and put a new cover on the target bag.

Summer is going fast!

Congrats Joe! I'm highly jealous of the drum sander. It's on my list!
I opened up a new trail to one of my plots today.  Now I have access from both sides so now I can hunt no matter which way the wind is blowing from!

Roy from Pa

Didn't even notice you were gone....  It sure was quiet while you were away...

Finally got a functioning sander so I'm back to making wood dust. Got 3 bows that need to be finished. I'm sure thankful for how the people at Home Depot were willing to help get me back up and running.

If you love something set it free, if it returns it was meant to be!! Lol. Or something like that!

I was supposed to be working on an outdoor privacy screen project to be installed on a friend's deck, but the wood I was able to get was rain soaked, so, while I waited for it to dry out, I pulled a longbow out of the failed corner and re-built it. I ground off the backing and thinned the core before gluing on a thin power lam and new backing. I'm finding that a long, thin power lam extending 2 inches past the fades helps prevent any tendency for the bow to hinge there.
By late evening I was pounding arrows into my target with a new hunting weight bow.    :archer:
I'll post pictures when it's  done. Today I have some dry boards to get sawing on.

Oh and don't worry we will make sure to turn big pieces of wood into little pieces of wood on the band saw when I get there on sat lol.
