Hello everyone,
I was thinking of trying a glass bow setup. I wanted to give a plain black glass (Bo-Tuff E Glass, UL .030 x 2(front and back)) with .125 x 2 red oak and a 21" red oak raiser in the Bingham 60" recurve. Would this be too thick for a 45# bow. I was looking over the Bow Draw Weight chart and if my calculation are right I'd be at .310 thick. thank you in advance.

On the bingham chart they show .262 stack for a 45# bow.

wouldnt that redoak riser need quite a bit of reinforcement-
both i beam and other transverse reinforcements!

.310 won't give you 45#. Using some previous builds as a guide, I would go .250 and it will give more like 50# @ 28". You didn't mention any taper in the lams. I would use .003 taper for your recurve. Without any taper you will get a lot more bend at the fades.
