Uk supplier of glass - help!

Hi, I was just wondering if you guys know of a UK supplier for glass? I bought my first lot form Binghams but the import duty on stuff from America is just a joke....£84 - $136 just to get it through customs makes it unviable to be ordering from them all the time.
Thinking about it a European supplier would be ok as well due to free trade in the EU.

well there is that bear paw stuff, but it does not seem to be getting great reviews, the clear glass is reported to be streaky- but personally i have never seen it- so cant say for sure- but might be a good option for you- being in their back yard so to speak- maybe can hand select some pieces

Ive tried Bear paw glass and it is not even worth trying!
I live in Sweden and order glass from Rudi Weick in Germany. No white streaks and you can use Binghams draw weight chart!
He also sell lams and other stuff for bow building!
Web site only on German but click on Bogenbaumaterial then on the picture of lams to open his pricelist.
Rudi speaks real good english so dont hesitate to call him.
Tell him that the guy in Sweden sent you

Almost all bows on www.facebook.com/moosebows is build by me with the glass that he sell.

Hi, many thanks for the replies. I have used flybow before and had good service from them....I hadn't even thought about them for glass.
I'm also thinking of ordering directly from Gordon Composites and just get it in bulk and only pay one lot of import duty.

i think flybow are using bearpaw glass- just awaiting their reply.
but maybe they can handpick glass for you.

just checked my mail, here was their response
"Hello Wayne,
thank you for your email. We get our glass from Germany. The have slightly visible streaks but all bows from Bearpaw/Germany are made of that material with no problems.
We can give you the exact postage if we know how many do you want to order. It depends on the weight.

so there you have it!
really good prices on the glass from what i can see- and just live with the streaks- or use coloured glass

the prices where that good, that i might have considered their glass, if it was streak free.
guess you get what you pay for!!!- fancy that!! :D
