I'm currently acquiring tools to start trying to build a few bow. I about to purchase a drill press to use for sanding risers and such, which should I buy, the 12" bench model that spins from 355-3065 rev. per min. or the 15" floor model that spins from 240 - 3470 rev. per min.? Just curious what everyone's opinion was.
Thanks,
Dannon

Always buy the best you can afford.  The larger 15 inch floor model will serve you for years and for many more jobs

I have both a bench and a full size for doing call work....Its pretty rare I ever use the little one anymore other than calls..the big one gets the knod 99% of the time.

You can also build an edge sander for the bigger machine.  I haven't yet, its on the radar of things that need to get done lol.

Thanks Guys,
I'll go with the 15". I was leaning towards that one anyway.
