Has anybody used Binghams Uni-Weft glass in with the cores?
Tell me about it.
How much # does it add (best guess),  short or long bows.

For narrow recurves ?

I do know this.... it's relative.... to width/thickness. The wider and thinner a bow is, the greater the effect an added X-thickness lam will have on net draw weight.

Binghams suggests to figure it just like wood as far as draw weight goes.  It adds torsional stability to a limb. Black Widow has used it for years and years and their limbs were some of the narrowest around.

I like the stuff...It's not Binghams, it is Gordons uni weft.

The advantages are very noticeable in lighter draw weight bows and limbs that have quite a bit of R D.
It will add a slight bit more draw weight (couple lbs.) than the same thickness of wood or core tuff.

I use it in about 90% of my longbows and all my recurves.  When left out, I add .005 to the core thickness.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

I think Big Jim was just pointing out that it is Gordons Plastic product, Binghams and other suppliers carry it.  Good stuff.
