Teak for riser wood

Guy's can Teak be used as a riser wood?My brother has a beautiful 2in thick pcs of teak he said I could use for my first Hill style bow.Any problems with glue-up or finish? Thank-you Burt

I built my first bow with a Teak riser and Bubinga limbs.
I used red and black fibre glass accents as reinforcement!
It is slightly to weak according to many, but this bow is 55#@28" and is cut 3/16" past centre and still no sign of cracking.
It is pretty oily but I cleanded it good with denatured alcohol before glue up!

THE problem with teak is that it is MEGA oily and glues do not want to stick unless you do a serious de-greasing.

I used 2part polyurethane finish!
After 2years it still looking good!
