Yup I get cluster headaches. Usually about every 8 - 10 months they come around for a few weeks. It's been two years now, so I thought they were gone for good. I get on a steroid and calcium blocker, then pop on an oxygen mask to kill them when they hit. It's always different lengths of time that they last. But without oxygen, it feels like a drill bit is being ran into my temple, very painful, worse than migraines.

Thanks Trux, and D don't make me come down there son:)

To me there's nothing quite like good walnut.  Should be a looker.

I'd love those options, when I get disability I'll probably look into the oxygen.  As it is I may have headaches lasting 12 or more hours.  I thank God you have effective treatments.

How does a reverse handled Hill look, anyway?

Sorry to hear about your headaches, Roy.

I had a student, she's 23 yrs old now, that had migraines.

A little over a year ago she had surgery on her neck to relieve the pain. So far so good for her.

I've seen her suffer through those rotten headaches so I kinda know what you're goin' through.

Craig, that's a sweet recurve!

And, Bob, I didn't notice the sheep until you pointed'em out!   :saywhat:

Thanks Red. My wife had a plate and 4 screws put in her neck, that really helped with her headaches too.

Crap! I forgot to post what I logged on for!

I haven't been able to work on my trade bow yet, but I just got off the phone with Mike Yancy. I ordered up the material I need and should be working on a bow for *********** by the end of the week.

I know I've had a month but they keep cramming stupid stuff into the school day! And working two jobs doesn't help.   :banghead:

I'm a little intimidated by such beautiful laminated bows! I'll definitely have to try one of those. I think I'd like to try Sam Harper's build, no fg.

Some really nice bows being built. Looking at them all, I feel like a kid in a candy store.
Roy, I know everyone is different when it comes to headaches and migrains, but one thing that worked for me was to read the labels on all foods from the store and cut out anything with MSG. That stuff is as good as rat poison and should be illegal. I haven't had a bad headache since. I still get them, but not often and not severe.
Dave.
" Vegetarian" another word for bad hunter.

Roy - Sorry to hear ya got the clusters back. I know you were doing really well with them too. I usually get mine in the spring, so my time is probably coming up in about a month or so.  Here's an image that I think is the best way to convey the pain of a cluster headache to someone who hasn't experienced one.

More on topic now....Great progress on bows everyone!

the timbers are recycled New Zealand natives.
The light colored wood is Tawa and was a bench top out of a bank. The darker wood is called Rewa Rewa a type cf honey suckle and was floor boards out of a demolished house.
