First I have to start off with a huge thanks to KennyM, Jsweka, and any one else who in the past 5 years that has put a Hill build a long on this forum.  I researched, studied, and followed all of your tips and advice.  So after months of thinking about it I finally ordered and received all my materials.   This past Monday I had opportunity to glue up and put the bow in the oven.  Yesterday I was at work all day and as soon as I got home today I was able to see what was underneath the pile of rubber bands, aluminum, and copious amounts of epoxy.  Here are the bows stats so far and what I'm aiming for
66" 50#-55# @28
16" Osage riser
1 72" .050 Clear UL
2 36" .050 Clear UL
2 Pairs of Yew .070 1.5"x36"
1 Pair amb-boo tapers .100 (.002)
1 pair amb-boo par .060
And some pics

I love the looks of that yew.  Yew looks good with almost any riser wood.

Looks nice.  Great glue lines.  So you're at 0.002 taper total?  Can't wait to see this one done!

Thanks for all the compliments.  I sanded the limbs close to their final width this afternoon.  Going to double check that tonight then start with the nocks.  I'm thinking some red and black phenolic with a bit of osage on top for the nocks.  Kenny also gave me an osage overlay for the back that I'm thinking about too.  Not sure what to do.  I'm looking for your opinions.  Let me know what you guys think.
Yes .002 is all the taper.  I can't take any credit for the stack recipe.  That's all Kenny.

fujimo

what are your final dimensions, and weight!
looks really nice!

Nice looking work. Especially for your first. You'll be hooked now. Looking forward to the finished bow. Did you get the yew veneers from Kenny?
