:clapper:   !!!Congrats on your retirement!!!    :clapper:

I just bought one from Kirk at Bigfoot bows.
price wasn't too bad..cheaper to make your own of course.
..but sometimes I just get tired of beating my head on the rocks and want to buy happiness...lol.

John and Roy.....thanks,I always figured this nasty habit of eating would get in the way of retirement but decided it wouldn't hurt to lose a few lbs   :goldtooth:

Took the St Judes kids bow off the form and found that I shouldn't figure stuff in my head.

The taxidermist called last week and said that my European mount of my buck from last fall was finally done, so I picked it up today.  I'm very pleased how it turned out and my Dad made me a very nice pedestal out of curly maple to put it on.

The other shoulder mount buck was my very first buck back in 1989 (I was 15).  That was back when I was a youngster still using the training wheels.

That looks really nice John. That curly maple stand is a looker too.

You're not going to have any arrows at all if you don't break that dog from chewing on them    :D  .

What's the story on that mount? It looks pretty cool.

jsweka

Thanks Roy and Brad.

The coyote is kind of a funny story....That was back in the mid 1990's and Dad and I had both tagged out in archery season.  I was away at college and he took a walk on the first day of gun season when he came across it.  Somebody had shot it in the spine and left it.  It was still very much alive, so Dad picked up a big stick and clubbed it to death.  Coyotes were still pretty rare around these parts back then so he drug it home, got a rug made out of it, and it hung on his wall for years - much to my mother's dismay.  I eventually inherited it and one day just stuck a broken arrow in it's mouth.

John, love the mount.  Especially the maple stand.
Love me some maple.

Did a lot of bee keeping today.  Very hard winter for my bees.  Lost 10 hives to old man winter.

Kenny that's a bummer on weight.  Too light or too heavy?

Hey, Arkansas is south of Missouri!!

David, I'm thinking of getting into bees too.  Got a friend's grandpa that's getting too old to take care of his.  He's got three hives and has offered to just give them to me.  Just need to convince the wife.  Nah, maybe I'll just bring them to the house and listen to her nag a bit    :knothead:

Besides work on my trade bow, I managed to get another one glued up last night and get her cleaned up today.  She'll be a 62" R/D bow for a gal, and so far I'm very pleased.  I would say the glue lines are nice, but I'm having trouble seeing them!  :)

I can't see em either Joe

That is a neat mount John. A friend has a bobcat rug mount but his wife gave him grief on it so he didn't display it until He built another room/ man cave. He had put on HIS coffee table and I thought it looked very nice.

Finished this one up for a friend today.
