I bought some fiberglass drywall tape today and I'm gonna back my hickory self bow with it. I can't find tightening III or II anywhere local. Has anybody used the gorilla wood glue. It say on it type II water proof and some other stuff. Will this work for my backing. Thanks.

Gorilla glue is not good for backings. Any carpenter glues will work, white or yellow. Elmer's Glue-All is another carpenter glue(white) that works.
Is your hickory a tree stave or board stave. You may not need any backing at all if the grain is good in a board and no backing necessary for a tree stave.

The glue I'm talking about is the actual gorilla wood glue. It looks like regular wood glue. It's not the original gorilla that foams up. It's an actual wood carpenters glue. It kinda a whiter color.
