Mahogany I-Beam?

I acquired a bunch of mahogany at work today and was wondering if it would work as an I-beam between two pieces of osage actionwood on a takedown riser. I would also put some fiberglass through it the other way for more support.

Should work fine between the osage.
High on Archery.
