newbie screw up

I am trying to build my first glass longbow (drum roll) and I made a mistake,

Taking a inch off will probably be close. What is your length right now?
As for reshaping the tip area, pic"s would help.
Probably will need to narrow some.

If you skinny the tips back down, you won't lose that much, or I don't anyway. Bout 6# is the best I can do by piking 2" on a 64" bow...

How is the tiller now? You maybe could not taper clear back to the riser and keep a bit more, but 8# will be a stretch methinks...

If you got enough length, piking it a little more might get you some more weight.

Or you could just finish it out and consider it a learning experience since it's your first one and we all know you'll be building more (this hobby is pretty adictive).

Here's a link to a thread bjansen started.  He has links to a lam stack calculater that will let you know how much to adjust your stack thickness to hit a desired draw weight.  It works well.

I'll try taking a in" off each end and see what happens.
JOHN: I have not made a arrow,tyed a fly,and I have a pile of wood that I need to mill up that was supposed to be end tables and a dresser that was to be done a month ago Plus A bunch of other stuff that ain't getting done since I started this bow so I done think I will have that addiction problem   :D

It worked.I cut a in" off each tip and gained 6lbs.My 62" is now a 60" but I'm ok with that and I learned something.
