I have two of these Black Hawk Scorpions and really enjoy shooting them too.....shot one for about an hour this afternoon.  The logo sticker on your bow is like the sticker on my 1971 bow.  My 1961 bow has an oval foil sticker w/ black lettering.  Someone must have refinished this bow at some point since there isn't any writing showing on the left side of the grip.  Typically, the top line of script would be the manufacture date, second line would be the model number and the third line would be the draw weight.

Hope you can add a layer of glass and make it a good bow for you to shoot.  Have fun & shoot safely.

I have two of those scorpions as well, they're really nice shooting bows.  The company called them recurves, but since the string doesn't touch the limb, they're closer to our conception of a "longbow."

I agree Sal the grip is what I like best about this bows.
