Had some twist at one end, so I heated the tip and hung a weight from a wrench and torqued it pretty straight.  Also took out the set that I discovered last month.  There are other pix on the site.  I going to put some old aluminum arrows together and wrap cotton cord for a temp handle and do some shooting on thanksgiving.  I'll get some shots then.

Oh, yeah!  I used olive oil on the oak wood when I heated it, then sealed it with beeswax.

Gotta watch those bad cholesterols...

Well I hope it serves you for many years or until you make one you like better which ever comes first.

Thanks!

Nah, this was more to get some of the build methods from this site burned into my head.  It's going to my daughter or on the wall.

I'm sure there are quite a few improvements I can make for the next one.  Since I originally meant it for the other daughter to shoot with, I'll be doing hers next.  Probably a board bow to reduce the number of mistakes and make it a more even build.

My heart is with selfbows after doing this one though.
