a question for a bowyer

well my bow exploded at full draw . was a bear kodiak hunter . my question being , is the bow totally ruined ? see i loved the grip on that bow. can the handle part of the bow be used in the making of another bow . someone mentioned that i should save it cuz a good bowyer could duplicate the exact grip .. thanks .
