My First Shooter!!!

However... I missed my target weight... No shocker there, but my son is obviously delighted with my "failure".    He can really shoot it as well. Its Hickory backed Hickory with Babinga (sp?)and Curly Maple handle and tip overlays. It was a joy to build and I learned a few more lessons along the way. It was a joy to build.

Very nice! Your boy has good form, keep a bow in his hand and he will be a force! I wish I would of started shooting that young.

looks like he is pulling about 25"...give or take, what kind of weight does that bow pull?

He is right at 24" and it pulls about 23 lbs at that length.

Well.... It broke today... One little "tick" and it came apart. It didn't hurt him or scare him. It scared me. I guess I know what my next bow project is... Back to the drawing board... I did get a nice Boo Backed Hickory finished today. Its a shooter and I ended up 50# at 26".
