Finally got around to building my wife a bow. I used the 62" Hybrid form I used on my first bow. This one has a cherry riser, maple parallels and tapers, with a white fiberglass and cherry overlay. I tried to match the riser overlay when I made the tip overlays. I'm almost done, just have to do some final sanding and apply a finish.

It pulls a whopping #26 @ 28"... 0.271" She's not a body builder thats for sure   :)

Nice looking bow. My wife never shoots the one I made her.

Thanks for the kind words guys! With each one I keep learning little tricks and definitely learning from mistakes  :)

Got some new arrows for her bow from Big Jim's today (great service!) Gold Tip 1535 29" traditionals with 125 grain points. She shot it 'till dark, I took a few shots with it, it's fun shooting such a light bow...

Cherry is one of those woods that the older it gets the better it will look as it darkens with age.

Hope she enjoys it.

Built a recurve for my wife and she gave it the thumbs down. Said she wasn't giving up her primitive bow.

Rather than have it hanging in the rack doing nothing I put it in the hands of a young lady in South TX.
