which way do the tapered lams face. opposing  directions... with thinnest part of lam at the bow back fadeout? If you can answer this it would be most appreciated.

kennym

Well, its been several years, but I think the 1st taper goes under the wedge, then the reverse taper on top of wedge(all the way to thick end of wedge tho),then parallel.

Hope that was what you were lookin for.  :)

thanks kenny!you are always so helpful!

Werewolf

so it would look like:
top of form
glass
reverse taper lam
wedge
carbon
"normal" taper lam
glass
bottom bow form

?

kennym

I can't remember, is the back of limb up on that form?

I thought the carbon should be close to the back. I haven't messed with carbon at all yet.

Is it the pronounced or shallow TD longbow.  Only 1 taper in shallow.  Pronounced has bottom taper thick end toward butt. and top taper, reverse, thin end toward butt.
TGMM Family of the Bow

Crooked Stic

Performance wise it aint gonna matter. The limb is parralell when glued up. Put the reverse taper next to the part of the wedge that is not flat. The thinner end of the lam will comform better than the thicker end.
