Are you talking about a power lam or a pressure strip?  Power lam moves the bend off the fades of riser, the pressure strip is under your airhose.

I'm thinkin power lam so here goes....

If that is a Binghams hybrid 62", I've never built one.  If Binghams doesn't require it, then you don't HAVE to have it. It may well help the bow bend better in the right places.

To me , most longbows with a .002 total taper tend to look kinda hingy at the fades.

So, I guess, maybe better ask someone who has built that particular design.
Stay sharp, Kenny.

kennym This is my own design  I ,ve made alot of bows bbo   this is the tipe of bow i want to make useing tappers and parallels  I was going to go with a 14 ' riser  put mabe I SHOULD GO WITH a16' instead  that might take the look out  as a hinge thank you BUCK

That was one reason I went to .003 total taper, it might be good to use a power lam in it.

Just something 3-6" past the end of riser.

Maybe .040 to .050 to a feathered end.
Stay sharp, Kenny.
