Hi my name is Josh!  I made this bow from a piece of Osage I traded one of my Native American-styled flutes for and it sat for 6 months and I finally decided to make a bow from it.

It is 63" NtN and 55# at 28".  It has around a 1/2 inch of string follow which returns to flat about an hour after unstringing.  This is the first bow I have built in awhile I have a little 8 month old girl that takes up most of my time that I used to devote to building bows.  I think this is the first bow I have posted here so please tell me if you see anything wrong with my tiller. Thanks for looking!

That's a good looking bow and obviously a lot of work.  If I had to be critical I'd say its bending too much near the fades and not enough mid limb.

JoshB

thanks for the comment Steve.  I have it bending right into the fades because it is a 63" bow and i wanted to get as much of the limb moving as possible.  I really hate the looks of a whip-tillered bow so I try to get them bending right up to the handle and maybe yes I could have moved the bend out a little more mid limb but it hasn't taking any set near the handle all the set came from mid limb! (Weird) this bow shoots a 560 grain arrow between 172-177 fps with virtually no hand-shock so I think I may start tillering them all this way.  :)
