I have a block of charcoal/blue and after sanding it down the color is inconsistant, anyone know what I can use to dye this to even out the color after sanding.

this is my dymalux riser it's kodiak solid color,I bought a sheet of it but have only used it once, mine also has some lighter shade pieces in it too. I don't know if it will take a dye or stain since it's been impregnated with glue under high pressure?? you may have to use a sharpie pen or india ink pen on a scrap piece then spray finish over it and find out if it will work.

Yes a sharpie type pen should work.sometimes just leave it alone and finish it and it may look good
You will be able to get dymalux again soon.I dont know how soon but will let everyone know. they will have a cocobolo and bocote look alike.

Johnny, is the new Dymalux going to be made in the states?

johnny girardi

No They tried diff. ways to make something here but no luck.I think it will be made in India. The main thing is to have some kind of stock built up so not so long of wait. Will this be a sales kill to you? Will cost like 1/2 price to dymondwood be more important?
