I have a monarch longbow that has green dyed feather wood for the limbs. Very pretty and somewhat unique. Does anyone know what feather wood actually is, maybe hickory cut cross grain?

I thought it was elm also at first but the grain is pretty course for elm. Somebody must know.
I might pick up a scrap of hickory and cut it to see what it looks like angle cut.

My kiln guy gave me a pc of pi$$ elm that had the featrhery small grain like that, but  after reading the properties of it, I never used it in a bow....
