Treating Staves (insecticide)

Curious as what kind of insecticide you guys use to keep wood wasp larvea out of the sap wood when drying staves? Also what types of wood are infected with these. I know I cannot dry an osage, locust or hackberry stave with the bark on with out them doing their best to ruin my wood. I'm also drying in an open shed which I'm sure is part of the problem.

I use this inside and outside, kills bugs for months with one application, but I spray my staves every month to be safe.

I use what ever strong stuff they have on sale in the clearance isle at Lowe's for 50% off. My last purchase was Diazanon, having used it in the past I know it does the trick.

Thanks for the responses, I appreciate your time. Do you have to treat all wood with the bark left on or only certain species?

I like to remove the bark and sapwood and store them that way.  The bugs don't like them as much.  

What part of Indiana are you from.  I'm in the S.E. corner

I'm in east/central (New Castle). I've came up with a bunch of good wood this year. Have been doing good to keep up with splitting and getting the ends sealed. I figure over the summer I'll get them peeled and sealed on the backs.

So,still spray them even if they are debarked and sealed?

I don't think you need to spray them unless you leave the bark on. I've never had any problem with mine if they are debarked.
