A hunk o osage

A feller bought this hunk of yellow wood by and gave it to me. I gotta find a sawyer to slice it up for me...

He wanted to make staves out of it, but gave up cause it just wouldn't split the way he wanted it to.....












I think it will make some wild glass bow lams in a few months!!

Hmmmmmm, I wonder why it wouldn't split straight.  Could it be that AWESOME looking swirling grain.  I'm a selfbow guy, but even I can see that is going to make some incredible looking lams.  Good luck with it.

Chuck, it is about 10 x 10 x 72 inches, weight unknown, but I think the shipping to your place would be horrendus!! LOL
