I've been working on and off on this little bow for a while. I was not in a hurry to get-r-done. It is a locust Eastern Woodland style bow, 60"t/t, heat treated belly, single side nocks with craft paint stain and India ink stick figures. This bow pulls about 20#@15".  My plan is to find a kid at the Tenn. Classic that needs a bow and give it to him(or her). Here she is...

Thanks guys. I love to see the look on a kids face when you hand him(or her) a bow. I usually donate a bow to each 3D shoot I go to each year. It helps the sponsors with the shoot and makes someone happy to boot. I think every bowyer should build and give a kid a bow every year. Not much cost or effort but a very big reward!

PEARL DRUMS

Most of us burn or toss out slivers of 1/4 logs that could easily make a kids bow. I save all my slivers for that reason.

soaring eagle

the first bow I made a hickory backed piece of cedar. It was 48" long 20# or so 15" and kids loved it. I gave it to a bow less kid at the cloverdale traditional nationals. The appreciation from that kid and his dad was unforgettable. Way to go Pat you made me remember how good that felt and thanks to you some more kids will get freebies from me
