Definitely a nice bow! That left-over cambium does make a nice camo.

I'm ashamed that I'm the only one that doesn't understand what HHB means.  Is it hickory-backed-hickory?  All these, "BBO, BBI, IBO, etc." is new to me.

One of my recent HHB's ended up very light, but nice. It's 62" I toasted the belly and put some reflex in it , but it is now only 36# at 28".If I sinue the back what can I hope to achieve in weight gain.

You might get 10# Pete.   Find a kid to give it to.
SteveB, HHB is Hop Hornbeam like Dave said. It works very similar to hickory or even elm.

Great looking bow Pat.

Looks great.  Want pics of the handle and/or full draw.

10# would be fantastic, I would be happy as all get out with 6 or 8, even 5 .

I just put the first coat of finish on  2 maple bows to give to kids yesterday. This one might just go that Kid route too, but it would also be a great one to learn to use Sinue on. If I live long enough, and try hard enough, I might be able to build one like yours. On the positive note everyone that goes sour has given me a wealth of experience on where I went wrong and how to salvage something from mistakes.
