This is a Hickory backed ERC long bow.  It is 70" ntn.  It has a rounded belly.  It is my first bow this long and my first time to work with cedar.  I think the left limb is bending ok but the right limb not so much.  What do you say?

One pic at 7"  brace the ot her at 12"

I agree with TMK. Also looks like the right fade is longer than the left and the bend(a bit too much) begins right after the fade.

Sure appreciate the input.  A couple questions:

With a rounded bellie, should I try to maintain the roundness or flatten it out somewhat while tillering?

Should I shorten (make it steeper) the right fade or leave it alone and work on the mid limb?

Need all the help I can get.  Want to make a good one.

heres a rook question........ what is ERC? And what is ELB?

I swear there needs to be a thread for bowyer abbreviations;)

I must be getting old. To me, looks like the left limb needs more bending mid limb on.  :)  Jawge

Jawge,
I'm gonna take everyone's advice and take it back to a low brace and get both mid limbs bending more.

Should I keep the belly round and maybe narrow the width along with reducing the belly a few scrapes?  I guess what I am afraid is that I will loose more and more mass thickness if I don't narrow a little.  Should I even worry?
