It has been a few years since I have built any bows due to a career change and time constraints blah blah blah. So lets see if I can still do this. This one will be grey action wood limbs with grey action wood and bubinga riser and shooting for 52 - 56# it will be 62" hybrid longbow. I got started on the riser today

First was a trip to the band saw

next it was on to the spindle sander to square up the saw cuts

Then it was time to spread some smooth on and bake it a couple of hours. After a fews passes on belt sander this is what I have

I got a little more done today. Fade outs sawed and ground. I didnt get my fixture set right on new saw so stripe is little off center but it will work.

Looks good- I really like the riser you have going.

well here it is out of the oven. I thought all went well but actually had belly glass slide to one end so bow will be a little shorter than intended. I expected something like this to happen since it has been a while since made any. but it will still be a nice bow just happy its not scrap yet. will have more pics tomorrow.

Dmaxshawn

Oh Boy....   Now here comes the good part.   I'm wif David I like your riser too.

Some tips as to how people keep lams from sliding would be awesome......... I am getting ready to attempt my first glass bow myself.

Looking great!

Nice riser. Do you have any shots of your bandsaw swing jig setup?
