So I am building a take down recurve for a buddy.. (Also see new recurve design.. need help).

I was going to add tip wedges and a power lam to make sure I achieve the 65# @ 30".  Do I account for the thickness of the power lam when I do my stack count for weight?

Thanks guys...

On my d/r longbows (58-64") I use the same stack and expect 3-4 # gain , so adjust from there.

Hope that made more sense  than I think!! LOL

Yeah.. so don't add the thickness of the power lam.. just add it and know you will increase poundage by 4 or so.

That's what I was thinking..

Thanks Kenny.

Its all guesswork til you get one off the form, it may affect a curve differently, shorter limbs might increase #s a bit more......
