I am trying to make a bow from a 1 1/4' about, tree limb from osage tree.

I am doing this while the wood is green.

My question is that the center line goes thru the handle and one limb at center. The other limb it mostly just hangs the edge untill the 3".
Do I remove all the wood neccessary to acheive dimension from just the one side?

I know that sounds stupid as there is no wood on the other side to remove, I just don't want to mess up the limb.

Thank You

If it is green still you will have to let it dry out for a while. I'd suggest at least a year. Then start reducing the belly until you get the bend and draw weight you are looking for.
Make the most of all that comes and the least of all that goes!
