as far as those mentioned above, which is the best value as far as quality, customer service, etc...?

Grizzly. I have quite a few Grizzly power tools and all are well made. The few times I've needed parts they were available and reasonable. Grizzly has a great tech support service too.

I have a 2005 jet spindle sander, a  2009 craftsman 6x48 beltsander, a 1980s 132 inch delta belt sander, a 1990? 12 inch Craftsman bandsaw, a 2004 grizzly 16 inch bandsaw that weighs 415 lbs..all seem fine so far, I dont use any of them daily...only use them about  240 hours  per year total. In my brief research grizzly was the recomended bandsaw

None of my Grizzly tools are plastic junk. And if I'm not mistaken they are made on Korea and not Japan.

What size bandsaw you looking for

md126

i have a 10" craftsman now that a friend gave me but its too small.

i'm leaning towards a 14" 1hp bandsaw now. big enough for what i'm going to do but affordable too i think.

stay with Jet  or General tool IMO

You must have the good lord looking over your should Pat. i could give you a long list of serious complaints about their customer service and their poor quality tools.....  you are a lucky man.

Grizzly is pretty cheap stuff.

We have a few of them.

Nothing is precisely made with good tolerances.

I think they're ok for occasional use for non-precise work.

Most of my shop equipment is Delta. I cant comment of their customer service because in the past 10 years I haven't needed it.
I didnt miss, thats right where I was aiming
