I would like to try and experiment building my longbows with foam core limbs.

Only problem is I have no clue where to start?

I have built many a fiberglass bow just never used foam cores so.....

Anyone out there that has done it before want to do a tutorial?

I think it would benefit many folks out there that would like to try as I have searched and never found anything on how its done.

Thanks

If you are interested in the foam cores they are pretty much like laminating any other cores.  They are usually about .005 light.  I always add at least that so that I come out to my desired poundage recipe.  You can get them ground from John Girardi at Old Mastercrafters.  They are really bad to grind unless you have a great suck system.
So try John out and let him know that Dave sent you.  He will take good care of you.

Thanks Dave!

Just what I needed.
