Rusty in Fla.

My son shoots 3 fingers under while I shoot split fingers. When I passed along my Bear Montana to Jr. it was no problem, it shoots fine. He has also started shooting my Martin Vision 60# and there is no issue. BUT, when he tries to shoot my 50# Vision it is very loud. Almost like the bow is screaming NO PLEASE DON'T SHOOT ME THAT WAY!
My question is what is done different when tillering a bow for 3 fingers under?
If you're gonna be stupid, ya gotta be tough.

Split finger tiller normally is around 1/8 positive. 3 under will be even or sometimes 1/8 negative.

Glad you asked that question, Rusty.
I shoot 3-under most of the time. I do use split finger with some bows, just depends on how accurately a particular style seems to be with a particular bow. Also depends on how the bow performs with the release style. My trade bow was "noisy" with a 3-under release but much more quite shooting split finger.
