Hey guys i have a question, I just ordered a ERC lam bow from kenny but forgot my zebra riser... I have some poplar boards here do you think that would look good in a riser with some ERC???

heres a pic of the boards i have with the cedar i will inlay... the limbs will be ERC with COPPERHEAD skins... do you guys think this will look good or just wait on the zebra from kenny???

The way i look at it.. i'll take the pieces and lam them up like an ibeam so i see the grain on the outside??? what you fellers think??

Not bad looking wood and it might be strong enough if laminated into an I-Beam, but I think poplar might be a little on the light weight side for a riser.  I like something heavy which helps eliminate handshock.  If it were me, I'd give Kenny a call and have him send the chunk of zebrawood.  With his service, you'll have it in a couple days.  You originally wanted zebrawood, so I think you'll be glad you waited on it.

Yea i'm getting the zebra wood regardless... just nice to have a few things layin around...

Well i thought about laminating the ERC as the Ibeam in the poplar. I chose zebra just cause i can't think of any other woods that would look good with ERC.... but if poplar will be too light then so be it...
